Volleyball Recap: Kearns Cougars vs. Granger Lancers
Kearns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Granger Lancers, falling 3-0. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Lancers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.
Granger found their leader in sophomore David Barragan, who had 17 digs. Barragan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Kearns' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Granger, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kearns is set to take on their familiar foe Taylorsville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Granger will face off against rival Hunter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
