Soccer Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Bluefield on Wednesday, Princeton came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the South Charleston Black Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Princeton were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior), but South Charleston's defense proved too tough.

Princeton's goal came courtesy of Miller Cox, who's now up to seven this season.

Princeton moved to 9-5-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for South Charleston, their record is now 6-8-3.

Coming up, Princeton will be playing in front of their home fans against Capital at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Charleston, they will head out to face off against Oak Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Charleston will be up against Oak Hill's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.6 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
