Softball Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

The West Fork Gators didn't have quite enough to beat the Episcopal Knights on Thursday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by just one run.

Elysia Gonzalez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

West Fork's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-11. As for Episcopal, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

West Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Episcopal, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Industrial at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.1, the Cobras 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
