Volleyball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was the 2-0 winner over Natrona County when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bearcats fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Sunday.

Leah Ewing paced Douglas' offense, picking up nine kills. Ewing got some help from Avynn Yost and her 23 assists. Samantha Yost controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Natrona County, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Douglas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against St. Thomas More on the 7th. As for Natrona County, they will host Green River at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
