Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). They claimed a resounding 81-9 victory over the Lake View Chiefs. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Chiefs are ranked 1296th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for Lake View, they dropped their record down to 2-21 with the defeat, which was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season.

Liberty will venture away from home to take on Levelland at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Levelland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake View, they will challenge Big Spring at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake View is facing Big Spring at the right time seeing as Big Spring is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
