South Anchorage faced Juneau-Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolverines came out on top against the Crimson Bears by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Crimson Bears: they've now won eight in a row.

South Anchorage's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Juneau-Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3-4.

South Anchorage has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Colony on the 26th. As for Juneau-Douglas, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ketchikan at 7:00 p.m. on October 17.
