Preview: Twinfield Trojans vs. Williamstown Blue Devils

Twinfield is 0-9 against Williamstown since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Twinfield Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Williamstown Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Twinfield is ranked 46th, while Williamstown is ranked 26th).

On Monday, Twinfield strolled past Northfield with points to spare, taking the game 50-34.

Meanwhile, Williamstown came up short against Danville on Friday and fell 67-54. Even though they lost, Williamstown's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Evan Bailey put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Colby Laggner, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds.

Twinfield's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Williamstown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Things could have been worse for Twinfield, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-46 loss to Williamstown in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Can Twinfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
