Basketball Recap: Orono Takes a Loss

Orono was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 40-16 to the Dexter Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Riots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Tigers are ranked 13th).

Orono's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Dexter, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Orono has already played their next matchup (against Bucksport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dexter will square off against Penobscot Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Penobscot Valley will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Dexter surely won't give up without a fight.
