The Heritage Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Heritage will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
On Friday, Heritage made easy work of Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran and carried off an 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Iestyn Roe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Jaxon Feasby looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Beau Stoppenhagen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Landon Lybarger, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian lost 16-3 to Leo on Saturday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Jacob Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Heritage pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. It's a different story for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Heritage's hitters?
Heritage couldn't quite get it done against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 as they fell 5-1. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
