Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Takes a Loss

Franklin Academy lost against Somerset Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Franklin Academy came up short against Somerset Academy, falling 3-0. Franklin Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-12.

Valeria Ceron paced Franklin Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Ceron got some help from Valentina Schwarberg and her seven assists. Finally, Schwarberg was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Franklin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Somerset Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Franklin Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Academy for Innovative Education on the 30th. As for Somerset Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mater Academy Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
