Basketball Recap: Ridge Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Gill St. Bernard's

On Saturday, Ridge faced Gill St. Bernard in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ridge Red Devil fell 56-45 to the Gill St. Bernard's Knights. The Red Devil were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Gill St. Bernard's, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge will welcome Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bergen Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
