Basketball Recap: Lefors Comes Up Short

Lefors extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 3-15. They had to suffer through a 70-17 loss at the hands of the White Deer Bucks. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.

As for White Deer, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

White Deer had a senior duo take command as Braxton Brown dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds and Karson Vaughn dropped a double-double with 21 points and 19 boards. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 2 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Lenz, who posted six points and four steals.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lefors is set to square off against their familiar foe Groom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, White Deer will face off against rival Shamrock at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
