Cross Creek picks up fifth straight win on the road

Recap: Cross Creek Razorbacks vs. Morgan County Bulldogs

The Cross Creek Razorbacks came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 win over Morgan County. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Cross Creek has posted since December 12, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cross Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micheala Bogans, who scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Bogans is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Tierra Turner was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals.

When it comes to explaining why Morgan County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaden Young. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kymora Smith, who scored five points along with three steals.

Cross Creek pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Morgan County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Cross Creek will take on Hephzibah at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hephzibah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 457th, while Cross Creek is ranked 76th). As for Morgan County, they will head out on the road to take on Harlem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
