Football Recap: Kaufman Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kaufman had lost three straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it four. They were beaten by the Terrell Tigers 56-14. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Kaufman lost, don't look at Elijah Rose. Despite the final result, he rushed for 110 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.

As for Terrell, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.6 points on average this season.

Terrell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JULIAN ASHLEY, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. RODERICK HAMBRICK JR. was another key player, rushing for 84 yards and two scores.

Kaufman and Terrell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lions see the field they'll take on Crandall at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Terrell, their break will end when they face Midlothian Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on October 9.
