Basketball Recap: Tishomingo County Takes a Loss

Tishomingo County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McNairy Central Bobcats on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Braves came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 76th in Mississippi, while the Bobcats are ranked 236th in Tennessee).

Tishomingo County's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for McNairy Central, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tishomingo County will finish 2024 at home by hosting Wheeler at 8:30 a.m. on December 27th. As for McNairy Central, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the McNairy Central Bobcats duke it out with the Middleton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
