Baseball Recap: Kent City Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Kent City's offense. They fell just short of the Ravenna Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Kent City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Rodenerg, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Kent City's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Ravenna, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

While Kent City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
