East Stroudsburg South dropped their record down to 9-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-1 to the Liberty Hurricanes. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cavaliers, who until this match were averaging 3.86 runs allowed.

East Stroudsburg South saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Markowski, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Jacob Greene also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The result was nothing new for Liberty, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On Liberty's side, Franklin Pichardo and Jaxon Horvath did most of the damage at the plate: Pichardo got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Horvath went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Pichardo has posted since back in March.

Looking ahead, East Stroudsburg South will square off against Pocono Mountain West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Liberty, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-3 loss against Easton Area on the 22nd.
