Preview: Hazen Bison vs. Westhope/Newburg Sioux        
        
		
            
 Hazen has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Hazen Bison and the Westhope/Newburg Sioux will round out the year against one another at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday at. Hazen has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests.
 Even though Dunseith scored an imposing 70 points on Tuesday, Hazen still came out on top. Hazen beat Dunseith by the very same score they won with last week:  72-70.
 Meanwhile, Westhope/Newburg put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Turtle Mountain by a score of  76-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Westhope/Newburg can attribute much of their success to   Hunter Tolstad, who  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 17  rebounds, and   Walker Braaten, who  scored 30 points along with eight  rebounds and five  assists. The  match was  Braaten's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Braden Bailey, who  scored 12 points.
 Hazen's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Westhope/Newburg, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
 Hazen came out on top in a nail-biter against Westhope/Newburg  when the teams last played  back in December of 2022, sneaking past  51-49. Will Hazen repeat their success,  or does  Westhope/Newburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
