Maryvale Prep won the last time they faced North Phoenix Preparatory Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Maryvale Prep Matador walked away with a 29-20 win over the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators. Winning may never get old, but the Matador sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Several Gladiators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sabrina Daniel, who posted five points. Daniel has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Hadley Cain was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Maryvale Prep pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maryvale Prep will challenge Bagdad at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Maryvale Prep's defense has only allowed 20.7 points per game this season, so Bagdad's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, they will square off against Desert Heights Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy is facing Desert Heights Prep at the right time seeing as Desert Heights Prep is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
