Basketball Recap: Kuna Comes Up Short

Kuna played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Owyhee Storm 67-39. The Kavemen have struggled against the Storm recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Riley Beck continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Owyhee, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Maiya Hardy, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Kuna's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Owyhee, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kuna will head out to take on Timberline at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Timberline will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Kuna surely won't give up without a fight. As for Owyhee, they will venture away from home to square off against Ridgevue at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Owyhee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.
