Basketball Recap: Dawson Dragons vs. Ralls Jackrabbits
If Dawson was riding high fresh off their 38-18 takedown of Cotton Center last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dawson Dragons took a 38-21 bruising from the Ralls Jackrabbits on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 35-15 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Ralls got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mercedez Alcala out in front who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Micah Garcia was another key player, scoring eight points.
Dawson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ralls, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.
Dawson will take on Kress in a tournament on Thursday. As for Ralls, they will challenge Crosbyton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
