Basketball Recap: Barbourville Comes Up Short

Barbourville lost against Pineville back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Barbourville Tigers lost to the Pineville Mountain Lions on the road by a 78-63 margin. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barbourville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Pineville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Barbourville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pineville, they will face off against Knox Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pineville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 29 contests -- so hopefully Knox Central likes a good challenge.
