Steven Gould and Bryan Hayes provided fans with a highlight when they connected against St. Bernard's Central Catholic. The longest such play in Midland Wachusett - D this season, the connection resulted in 70 yards.

Maynard/Bromfield's Sean Peterson recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Quaboag Regional last week. Peterson's team topped the Cougars as he sprinted for 54 yards on the play and finished with 228 in all.

West Boylston/Tahanto's dynamic duo of Gould and Hayes proved tough for the Saints to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gould threw for 127 yards and two touchdowns and Hayes had 108 yards receiving. Mike Pace helped West Boylston/Tahanto's passing attack out by catching two balls for 11 yards.

The Lions' Gould and Hayes have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gould has thrown for 438 yards this season, while Hayes, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 11 catches for 300 yards. Peterson from Maynard/Bromfield leads the league in rushing with 762 yards.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when West Boylston/Tahanto takes on Narragansett Regional. Dave Tinglof's team has allowed 36 points this season, while the Warriors have given up 72. The Lions allowed 10 points last week as they defeated St. Bernard's Central Catholic.

West Boylston/Tahanto moved up to 81 from 110 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Midland Wachusett - D. The Lions climbed the ranks as a result of a 46-10 win over Tom Bingham's team.
