Basketball Recap: McClymonds Takes a Loss

McClymonds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakland Wildcats. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 57-43 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oakland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rohm Neal led the charge by putting up 11 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Neal a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Romyn Waugh, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

McClymonds' loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Oakland, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McClymonds will take on Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fremont has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Oakland, they will face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
