Softball Recap: Zimmerman Falls to Chisago Lakes Area in First Game of Season

Zimmerman had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 12-8 to the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats on Tuesday. If the Thunder were looking for revenge after losing 13-5 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jaci Daudt was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ari Martinez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zimmerman will host St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chisago Lakes Area, they will be playing at home against Rocori at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
