Softball Game Preview: Berry Cardinals vs. Chambers Cougars

The Berry Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Chambers Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Berry has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Berry fell victim to Ardrey Kell and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Knights. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Chambers played against West Mecklenburg on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Berry's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Chambers, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Everything went Berry's way against Chambers when the teams last played back in March, as Berry made off with an 18-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
