Baseball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Westview's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Omaha North Vikings on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Wolverines' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Omaha North, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westview will face off against rival Lincoln Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Omaha North is set to square off against their familiar foe Millard South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.9, the Patriots 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
