Soccer Game Preview: Belleview vs. Lecanto

The Belleview Rattlers will challenge the Lecanto Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Belleview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Belleview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Leesburg 7-2. It was an even better day for Tatiana Dobkowski as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Lecanto kept a clean sheet against Nature Coast Tech last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Sharks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Belleview pushed their record up to 7-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those three matchups. As for Lecanto, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Belleview might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Lecanto in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Belleview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
