Volleyball Game Preview: Western Warriors vs. Desert Pines Jaguars

The Western Warriors will challenge the Desert Pines Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Western came up short against Cheyenne on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Western was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Desert Pines came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past Sports Leadership & Management 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Desert Pines who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 28-26, 21-25, 15-10.

Desert Pines' victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Western, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Western was able to grind out a solid win over Desert Pines in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
