Basketball Game Preview: Westville Tigers vs. Iroquois West Raiders

The Westville Tigers will square off against the Iroquois West Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Iroquois West likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, everything went Westville's way against Cissna Park as Westville made off with a 67-42 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Iroquois West unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Herscher. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 11-4 in the first quarter.

Westville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Iroquois West, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Westville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Iroquois West in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 66-61 victory. Will Westville repeat their success, or does Iroquois West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
