Football Game Preview: Traip Rangers vs. Old Orchard Beach Seagulls

Traip hasn't had much luck against Old Orchard Beach recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Rangers will host the Seagulls at 1:00 p.m. Traip has given up an average of 34.3 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Traip is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Yarmouth, who was ranked second at the time (Traip was ranked 21st). The Rangers were beaten by the Clippers 52-6 on Saturday. The matchup marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Old Orchard Beach didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lake Region on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory.

Traip's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Old Orchard Beach, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Traip was dealt a bruising 72-14 loss at the hands of Old Orchard Beach in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Rangers, Riley Provencher (who picked up 169 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 41 yards) won't be suiting up this time.
