Basketball Recap: Southold Takes a Loss

Southold was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 86-62 to the Bridgehampton Killer Bees. The Settlers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-22.

Alex Davis was his usual excellent self, going 15 of 22 en route to 40 points and five steals for Bridgehampton. With that strong performance, Davis is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Jordan Harding was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Southold's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bridgehampton, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southold will host Shelter Island at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bridgehampton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
