Basketball Recap: Minatare Comes Up Short

Minatare was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 60-21 loss at the hands of the Bayard Tigers. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bayard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anderson Gaarder, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. Noah Manka was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points.

Minatare's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Bayard, their record now sits at 3-12.

While Minatare had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
