Valor Academy came out on top against Community Charter on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. Valor Academy blew past Community Charter 8-2. Considering Valor Academy has won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Valor Academy let Jorge Roman and Matthew Diaz run wild. Roman went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Diaz went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Roman has posted since back in May of 2024. Johnny Hughes was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Valor Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Valor Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Community Charter, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
