After a string of six wins, Dexter's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Saline Hornets by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Dreadnaughts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dexter got a good showing from Ethan Bush, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, Bush gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had over his last three matches.

Dexter's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Saline, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will venture away from home to challenge Brighton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Saline, they will head out to take on Chelsea at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
