Baseball Recap: Valor Christian Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Valor Christian's offense. They lost 9-0 to the Centennial Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valor Christian got a good showing from Trystan Chadwick, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Valor Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Buchold, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Ben Blasco also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Valor Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Valor Christian will face off against Calvary Day at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Calvary Day's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Valor Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Centennial, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Chatfield on the 19th.
