Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Falls Short of Jensen Beach in the Playoffs

Okeechobee and Jensen Beach squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Okeechobee had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Jensen Beach Falcons, falling 57-4. The game marked the Brahmans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lizzie Fitzwater was the offensive standout of the matchup as she posted 12 points in addition to six assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Tobiasz, who had eight points and five boards.

Okeechobee's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Jensen Beach, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Okeechobee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jensen Beach, they will face off against Sebastian River at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Jensen Beach's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
