Basketball Recap: Midland Legacy Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Midland Legacy had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Diego Rodriguez did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Midland Legacy Rebels walked away with a 66-53 win over the Hanks Knights thanks in part to Rodriguez, who went 11 of 18 on his way to 29 points and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Midland Legacy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Seun Majekodunmi, who posted four points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (two).

Midland Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Hanks, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Midland Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-66 loss against Del Rio on the 28th. As for Hanks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-43 defeat against Burges on the 28th.
