Basketball Game Preview: Colony Knights vs. Grace Christian Grizzlies

Colony has won three straight games at home, while Grace Christian has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Colony Knights will welcome the Grace Christian Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Colony picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They blew past South Anchorage 69-24. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Wolverines are ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Grace Christian's strategy against Homer on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Grace Christian blew Homer out of the water with a 67-23 final score. With the Grizzlies ahead 41-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Colony's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Grace Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Colony came up short against Grace Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 59-55. Can Colony avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
