Soccer Recap: C.B. Aycock Takes a Loss

C.B. Aycock managed to slip by West Johnston the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Falcons lost 8-3 to the Wildcats on Wednesday. C.B. Aycock were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced West Johnston earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Davynn Godshall and Ashlee Martens scored all three of C.B. Aycock's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

C.B. Aycock dropped their record down to 6-6-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for West Johnston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. C.B. Aycock will square off against South Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. C.B. Aycock will be up against South Johnston's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Johnston, they will take on Hunt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
