Baseball Recap: Union Comes Up Short

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 25-0 to the Lakewood Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lakewood, their record now sits at 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will take on Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Lakewood, they will challenge North Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
