Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Cliff Colts vs. Central Dauphin Rams

The Cedar Cliff Colts will venture away from home to face off against the Central Dauphin Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Dauphin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Cedar Cliff, who comes in off a win.

Cedar Cliff's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Cumberland Valley. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Not much got past Peyton Price, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Cumberland Valley off the board. Those nine strikeouts gave Price a new career-high.

At the plate, Cedar Cliff saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Enders, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Central Dauphin came up short against Hempfield on Saturday, falling 10-2.

Charlie Long made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alex Scaringi, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Cedar Cliff's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Central Dauphin, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Cedar Cliff came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Dauphin in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Cliff since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
