            Baseball Recap: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. St. Charles Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            Bishop Watterson won the last time they faced St. Charles and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of  5-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Eagles.

Bishop Watterson got a great performance from  Blaise Strausbaugh as he  struck out seven batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. Strausbaugh has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Bishop Watterson let  Connor Adkins-Davidson and  Brady McAninch run wild. Adkins-Davidson  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run, while  McAninch  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. McAninch also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Michael Mulligan, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Bishop Watterson's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for St. Charles,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-6.
 Coming up, Bishop Watterson will be playing at home against Bishop Hartley  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for St. Charles, they will head out to  square off against Dublin Scioto  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
