            Basketball Recap: Meridian Warriors vs. Timberline Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Meridian and Timberline squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Meridian had to settle for second. They took  a  60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberline Wolves. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won  48-43.
Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Timberline, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record  this season.
 Meridian and Timberline are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Meridian won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Borah  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meridian has given up an average of 56.7 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Timberline, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll  challenge  Owyhee  at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Owyhee comes in on 11 and Timberline on three.
