Volleyball Recap: Conant Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Conant can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Fremd Vikings on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11.

Nika Putro paced Conant's offense, picking up two kills. Putro got some help from Sienna McCarthy and her three assists. Imma Papucci controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Conant's loss dropped their record down to 7-29. As for Fremd, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

Conant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremd, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lake Zurich on the 30th.
