Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sacred Heart waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bunceton Dragons. That's more bragging rights for the Gremlins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sacred Heart took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-4, 25-5.

Sacred Heart found their leader in freshman Sophie Hesse, who had nine digs and three aces.

Sacred Heart was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Sacred Heart's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bunceton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart will face off against Stover at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bunceton, they will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on October 1.
