Softball Recap: Pillager Drops Season-High Score on Sebeka

Pillager was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 12-7 to the Sebeka Trojans. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Huskies' highest-scoring game to date.

Bailey Rudrud and Alizza Klein stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rudrud scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Klein scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Anderson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Pillager's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sebeka, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Pillager and Sebeka will both be playing Wadena-Deer Creek the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Huskies will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
