Softball Recap: Seton Catholic Drops Season-High Score on Ganado

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seton Catholic). They blew past the Ganado Hornets 13-6 on Wednesday. Considering the Sentinels have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooke Zuluaga was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Zuluaga wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Casillas, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Casillas a new career-high. Another was Jordyn Bonnell, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Seton Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Ganado is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Seton Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-1 win against Mayer on the 12th. As for Ganado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-1 loss against Mohave Accelerated on the 12th.
