Meanwhile, Cyprus came up short against West Jordan on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Cyprus took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-22.

Taylorsville will have to keep a close watch on Saris Rengifo and Sara Johnson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Cyprus' prior game.
