Basketball Recap: Manzanola Takes a Loss

Manzanola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 56-43 to the Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions.

Despite the defeat, Manzanola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dillon Pittman posted 16 points. Zane Lamge was another key player, putting up six points.

Manzanola's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Manzanola has already played their next matchup, a 61-19 defeat against Granada on the 14th. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fowler at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
